It's somebunnie's birthday!!!

Yea Gina!!! It's your birthday!!! A hundred years ago when you knew me in middle school, I bet you never thought we would spend your 31st birthday (and many others, before and after) together. It's ok that you hated me then. It's better that you like me now!!! I am so happy for all the times you have made me laugh, cry, yell, pee my pants and all those other fun memories. You are so special to me. The relationship we have is like no other. You are the best and I hope your day was a good one!!! I love you!!!

Bye bye summer

Well, summer break is almost over and I don't like it. We have had so much fun this summer that I don't want it to end. These are pictures from the last day of school. Cambelle is our future Coyote. Maddison with her 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Sandberg and Tyler with his kindergarten teacher, Miss Robbins. It all starts again in just under 2 weeks but it feels like we just ended the last year. Tyler goes all day this year. That's such a challenge for me. I cried for weeks when Maddison was in 1st grade. I know it will be the same with Tyler. It is so hard for me when they leave. I have to control myself from grabbing their legs on the way out the door. Most moms are happy to get school back in session, not me!!! Next week I will go talk to Tyler's teacher to let her know about his health concerns. Pretty much what to do if there is a medical emergency with him. Probably nothing will happen, but it makes me feel better to let the teacher know what he has been through and what COULD happen and how to handle it. Oh yea, and his new teacher, that's a whole different blog. It would be titled, "I almost married your teacher's husband before I met your dad". Don't ask. So, that's my thoughts on today. What am I gonna do about it? Swim at Gina's a lot, lots of sleepovers, let the kids stay up late and cry when they go back to school.

Negativity ahead....

Yea, and I don't care if this isn't a my-life-is-perfect-and-I-never-have-a-bad-day kind of blog. I like to sleep, I really do but sometime my body doesn't think it needs to. I think someone is pulling for me to commit homicide. The more days I go without sleep, the more likely I am to kill someone because they're an idiot. Uhhhgggg. I've done all of the obvious stuff and it doesn't help. If I take any kind of sleeping aid then I'm just tired the next day and that doesn't help the don't-go-to-jail-for-killing-someone plan. I'm sure it's just my stupid body but I can't help complaining about it occasionally. So if you see me with tooth picks holding my eyelids up, leave them, I'm trying to start a trend!!!

Yippee Bridger!!!

Yesterday was my nephew, Bridger's birthday!!! He turned one. It's my niece, Amy's son. They live in Las Vegas. We (all 9 of us, no we're not from the creek) piled into my car and went down for the day. Who is crazy enough to do that? My kids (they don't have a choice), my sister Blanche (she's as crazy as me), her 3 kids, Brittney, Matthew, and Brookie along with Brittney's son Odin. We had a blast. Matthew was the best at staying on the tube in the pool. Brittney and Maddison tied for 1st place in the under water pose contest. Dan was the only one that could beat me in the splash contest. Brookie takes the cake for staying on the raft the longest when Blanche and I were trying to get her off. Blanche wins for cutest bathing suit. Cambelle had an enjoyable nap on the hammock. Tyler didn't want to get out of the pool. Amy was a gracious host and the birthday boy is more edible than his cake!!!! Overall it was a FUN day. I have a huge family (that's not a fat joke) and I am so lucky to be close to all of them. I can't wait for the next excuse to have a good time!!!

Maybe I don't wanna know what you remember!!!

I decided to play this totally fascinating game my friend has on her blog. Here’s how you play:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one or more memories that you and I had together, or just some memory of me. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot. Anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments or send you an email.

Vrrrooooommmm.....

Ok, so Randy has always liked motorcycles. He bought his first one when he was 18 (no his mom wasn't happy about it) and has loved them since then. With gas prices going so high and Randy driving to Hurricane for work, he decided he wanted another bike. This is the 4th bike he has owned. It's a Honda VTF1000R. Yea, 1,000 cc engine!!! He likes that, and the first time he fired it up, I have to admit I liked it too!!! So I don't know if it is because Randy is so happy riding his bike or the fact that I think he is SMOKIN' on it, but I love it when he rides his bike. You know when you kiss a guy for the first time and your tummy does that holy-cow-this-is-really-fun thing, well that's how I feel when he's on his motorcycle. I also love riding with him, it's just a little hard with 3 kids hanging off the back. We were on our way home from Hurricane when Maddison took this picture, not bad for 80 miles an hour and an 8 year old with a camera!!!

"Are you the cleaning lady?"

Yep, those were my first words to our new neighbor, Angie 4 short years ago. The house across the street from us had been going through a lot of renovations and we knew there was a buyer, so when I saw her cleaning I just thought she was the cleaning lady. Now it's been 4 years and the Anderson's are moving to a different neighborhood not too far away. I am not happy about this. I never would have guessed what great friends we were going to get when they moved in. A lot has changed since we met. She had a baby, I had a baby, she's watched my kids, I've watched hers. She showed me that there are women in this world that can kick ANY guy's butt. She's helped us put funiture together, she's cut our hair, she's fixed our hair when I have screwed it up. Some people enhance who you are, Angie is one of those to me. I hope we can be friends for a long time. It's a move that needs to happen, but I can still throw a little fit, right? I'm gonna miss Wyatt calling me, "Ho" and it's gonna be wierd to not look out the window to see if they're home before I call. We all are gonna miss the heck out of them. It's been a great run.

Out of the mouth of MY baby

Cambelle is 2 and yesterday I was on the phone with my mother-in-law for a few minutes and in that short time she learned 2 things. #1- we LOVE boobies (but who doesn't?) and #2- poop doesn't talk. I know you're shocked by both of those, unfortunately I wasn't. When I became a mom, if someone would have told me all the stupid stuff I was gonna say... my response would have been, "NO WAY, I don't believe you!!!". I find myself saying stuff like, "stop licking your brother" or "sure you can have a brownie for breakfast (and then justifying it)", or "I am a mean mom, I got a degree in MEAN, schooled at the University of MY MOM!!!", or "I didn't say we CAN'T have a pet, I just said we can just have one that doesn't poop". Just when I think I'm losing my mind, something like that comes out of my mouth and I realize that it has already happened. I have always had a hard time controlling what comes out of my mouth and I come from a very sarcastic family... bad combination. When Tyler learned that he has testicles, I had to refrain from telling him it was from swallowing his gum. That was the first thing that came into my head, don't worry, I told him the truth. That's the sad price I pay to reproduce. That's how you know Heavenly Father has a sense of humor... He let Randy and I have babies!!!

My mom and dad

Aren't they cute? These are my parents. I got to take their pictures yesterday for their 50th wedding anniversary party. This is one of my favs. I love hearing my dad laugh. My parents raised 6 girls (no boys, we didn't allow any to come to our family) and for most of that time there was only one bathroom in the house. Blanche always says there is an isolated toilet waiting in Heaven for our dad. I hope it can wait a LONG time. My parents have taught me a lot and I feel lucky to have them as long as we have. 50 years? That is such a long time. The girls and I have had a great time planning their party for this September. Our parents are very social and hopefully a lot of people will come to their party and have fun. They are such good people and always have the wellfare of their family as a priority. I miss them when they go on the mountain for the whole summer, but we're half way through and then they will be home!!! I LOVE YOU, MOM AND DAD!!!

Uhhg, 2 people have told me in the last 24 hours that they saw this picture and didn't recognize Maddison (and they were my sisters that see her very often). Yep folks, she's growing up. They all are. Maddison will be 9 in Sept., Cambelle will be 3 in a few weeks and Tyler is 6 1/2 with his first wobbly tooth. I AM OLD!!! My kids feel even bigger when I hold my newest great neice, Kaylee. She's tiny. There's been a time in my life when I would hold a new baby and think, "oh.... can't I have one this small again? LET'S DO IT!!!" now my thoughts have changed to, "oh.... can't I borrow her more often? LET'S DO IT!!!" I guess some things never change, but some do!!! I LOVE babies, but right now I'm loving babies with other mommies. That's OK right? So, if you want me to borrow your baby, give me a call. I still need that fix, just not a permnament one.

Shhh....

Ok, I did it!!! There I said it. I downloaded Summertime by New Kids on the Block. So what if I did, I'm an adult and I don't care what anyone thinks. So what if I was one of the only people that we have ever played Singstar with that knew Step by Step? Why is THAT such a big deal? I will say that when they (NKOTB) were on the Today Show to debut their new stuff, I didn't like it. Everytime I watched it, I didn't like it. So then all of a sudden my kids are recording Jump Start on VH1, I hear Summertime and I AM HOOKED!!! I am a sucker for music that not everyone if fond of, I am used to that. I mean, how many adults do you know that went to an N'Sync concert and used her (my) 16 year old niece to take so she (I) wouldn't look like an idiot? For the record... it was a great concert. I am very comfortable with who I am, that's why I am posting this. Be proud of what you like and embrace it!!! Download the music you like just don't tell anyone unless you can handle them laughing at you (I'm pretty used to that). Keep Hangin' Tough.

How do you feel about throw up?

Well, I don't like it very much and neither does my 2 year old. She's been at it since 4 this morning. The problem is that she doesn't know the rules yet.

#1-if you're gonna throw up, you can run no matter where you are.

#2-don't go tell your mom that you are going to throw up... just go the the bathroom and she will hear you or she'll hear your siblings saying stuff like, "yuck... she's doing it again" or "why does she have to throw up so much" or "MOM, CAMBELLE NEEDS YOU IN THE BATHROOM".

#3-don't stare at the toilet and then puke all over it, IN it is the goal.

#4-make sure when daddy gets home from work that you treat him with the same respect as you have given your mom all day.

It's a pretty short bug, so hopefully she's over it so one of the other kids can start!!! Now I'm hungry, I better eat something!!!

How much wood, could a woodchuck.... WHATEVER!

The Reynold's are our friends that needed a tree cut down. They needed a man with chainsaw experience. Hmmmm, dun-dun-dun-ddduuuunnnnn... enter Randy, a man with a saw, gloves, and a big smile on his face whenever he gets to fire up that chainsaw. We went over last night to cut down the tree in their front yard. It was the most exciting thing since the fireworks 4 days ago!!! Tiffany insisted on filming the event, which I thought was funny considering the size of their tree compared to the HUGE trees that Randy is used to cutting. Nonetheless, I like hanging out with people who are as easily entertained as I am. We had a great time and Randy left a happy "sawer" (sawdust in his teeth). Thanks to the Reynold's for making my husband happy, Cannon for 25 pictures as the tree fell, and of course, Stihl for enabling my husband to get wood (stop it)!!!! This event definently got Randy in the mood for Saturday (stop it), the Clyde's are going to Kolob to start hauling wood off the mountain (36 cords last year, hopefully not as much this year). Yippee!!!

Happy Freakin Birthday

So, today is my best friend, Anna's birthday. It's always a day of reflection for me. We have been friends since we were born (really). We lived across the street from each other until we were 8 then my family moved north one block and across the street. We got married just months apart and we had 2 of our 3 kids at the same time. I always tease that we'll be friends FOREVER because she has too much blackmail on me, which is partly true. The other part is that I know my life would be incomplete without her. She fills such an important part in my life. There was a time a few years ago that there was a good chance that she could have died due to blood clots. It was one of the scariest times of my life. I can't imagine my life without her. I would be miserable. Her and all of her family are so special to me and my family. I don't think there are a lot of people that have a relationship like Anna and I. The coolest thing is that she KNOWS me, the good me and the bad me but she loves me anyway. That's a hard thing to do. I don't even like me that much. She's what I wanna be when I grow up (even though I'm older). Happy freakin 31st birthday, Anna!!! Wow that's a lot of candles!!!!

open up and say aaahhhhh.....

I have had to learn to face my anxiety issues about the dentist, so to take my kids.... torture!!! So, Tyler went to the dentist yesterday. Not always a good thing. We knew he had 2 little cavities that needed to be filled. I never told him about the whole shot-in-your-mouth thing. When I told the dentist that Tyler didn't know about novocain, he made me feel better when he said that one wouldn't hurt, but the second one would be borderline. I geared up to sit in the room and listen to the sounds that have caused me to do years on a councilor's couch. I have to say, it's much louder and horrible when it's in your own mouth!!! It didn't hurt me a bit! When the dentist was done, he threw his hands in the air like he had just scored a touch down and said, "NO NOVOCAIN!!!". The only other person I have personally heard of that has done that is my sister-in-law, Amy. So, now there can be someone else in her club, my son!!! Yiipeee!!! The dentist was quite impressed, probably even more knowing how big of a whimp I am! The best part for me was when the gas was starting to take effect and Tyler (stoned) looked up at his hands, with fingers all spread out and said, "mom, this is the best day of my life with this nose thing (giggle, giggle, giggle)!!!" You have no idea how big of deal this was for our family. My kid is a stud!!!
