Movie review....

So, I got Valentine's Day to watch and I have to say, it was a pretty dumb movie. For the all-star line up they had, it could have been a GREAT movie, but no. It wasn't!!!!! The very best part of it was during the ending credits, there is a Pretty Woman reference with Julia Roberts and I about laughed my head off!!!!!! It was GREAT!!!! I would suggest to all the Pretty Woman fans, to Redbox Valentine's Day, skip the movie, watch the Julia Roberts part and then return it. It will be worth it!!!!! The kids wondered how I knew what she was going to say... if you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about!!! Anyhow, that makes me think, it's been a while since I have watched Pretty Woman. I think I might have to watch it today!!!!! Reg-Bev-Wil. Oh, so many favorite parts!!!!!! BYE!!!!!

Wanna get married?

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Vegas for my cousin's wedding!!! It was a blast!!!! I love the pictures and I love being down there, so I couldn't resist blogging about it!!!

We always have a blast down there. We stay at my Aunt Vicky's house and it's cool for us because we are as comfortable there are we are in our own house. I don't know how that makes THEM feel, though!!!! haha!!!! This time, my Uncle Gus and cousin, Trey were in Hawaii at a baseball tournament, so Aunt Vicky and KC were the only ones home and then.... HERE COME THE CLYDE'S!!!!! All 6 of us!!!! I bet that was scary!!!

Anyhow, the kids had a great time in the pool and pooped out the day of the wedding before it was time to go. They like to watch movies in Aunt Vicky's bed!!!!! Zzzzzz.........Randy and the baby took a little nap before we left, also!!!!! Awww........

We went to the wedding chapel, right off the Strip. It was a BEAUTIFUL day in Vegas. For June, I think it was like 85!!! Normally 10 degrees hotter, WE'LL TAKE IT!!!!!At this specific wedding chapel, there were a TON of men in uniforms. I guess they give a military discount, so all the newlyweds take advantage of it!!!! We saw every branch but Army. But, I must say that the most handsome of them all was my cousin, Rick!!!! WOOWOO!!!!! Sadly, I didn't get a picture of the bride with my camera :(

Grandma Albrecht and the Groom, Little Rick!!!

Aunt Vicky and KC.... look how cute KC is!!!! MAN, my cousins are adorable!!!

Here's my Grandma, my wild cousin, Rebecca (don't let her cutsie look fool you), me and Aunt Vicky!!!

After the SHORT ceremony (remind me to become a minister in Nevada, those people make BANK!!!!), we went to Nellis Air Force Base for the reception. We had sent in our info for them to get permission for us to get on base. I was hoping they didn't reject me ;) This was mine and Randy's first time on an Air Force Base. I have to admit, I was really anxious about the whole thing. I have never felt like such a target, surely the bad guys know where all of our main military bases are, right? Anyhow, after Randy's strip search (well, at least we teased him about one all day), we were on!!!!!
It was weird, I didn't know it was like a whole town in there!!!!! AMAZING!!!! The reception was at the Officer's Club. It was pretty cool. The groom's mom, my Aunt Rhonda, has rights to the Officer's Club because her dad was retired through the Air Force, so we got good treatment!!!!

Now, this is where my camera died and maybe that was a good thing, no one needs proof of anything that happened at the reception, right? haha!!!! We had a great time. Randy and I sat at a table with my biological dad Scott, his wife Debbie, her daughter Joanna and Jo's husband Marc. We love spending time with Jo and Marc!!!! We had a blast!!!! It's funny how the "in-laws" kind of bond together. Randy, Marc, and Rebecca's boy toy, Matt. It's like they have been inducted to a special club!!!!! So fun!!!! The night was celebrated by lots of dancing, Randy taking pictures of himself with the disposable cameras and a very special picture of my cleavage that I put on Rebecca's phone!!! SHE LOVES IT!!!!! I swear, it's probably a good thing she lives in Vegas and I live here, because that girl could get me in trouble!!!! I love her to pieces!!!!

It was a late night and the next morning, we were on our way home again!!!! I loved seeing all my Albrecht family and my niece, Amy!!! It's always a success when we go to Las Vegas!!!!

THANK YOU AUNT VICKY for letting us always invade your house. Hopefully we aren't too bad. And thank you to anyone ;) who helped us out that weekend. It was great to be with Randy!!!!

Who's your daddy?

So, that's the question. Who's your daddy? You see, I was born to one man and raised by another and let me say, I got the best of the best to raise me!!!!! I think I signed a petition in Heaven saying that I wanted MY dad!!!! He is such an amazing person. If you have lived in St. George for more than a minute, there is a 100% chance you or your friends know my dad. He is what every girl wants in a dad. He was the custodian at Dixie High School when all 6 of us girls were in school and he was the coolest dad in school!!!! He would let me go to get a Coke and donuts during the day IF I brought one back for him. He was always a refreshing face to see walking down the hall and when they called his name from the speaker, it sounded like they were paging for a super hero!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT? Anyhow, with it being Father's Day, I thought I should give a little shout out to my dad, the famous, Pete Memmott!!!! I love him to pieces and think he is just the top dog daddy!!!!!

Then we have my kid's daddy!!!! He is such a freaking stud!!!! He has never been afraid of poopy diapers. He never misses work because he's sick or doesn't want to go. He has stayed with me (hello...... he needs a medal of honor) and all in all, he is just perfect!!!! Our kids are so stinking lucky to have a dad like him. He makes them proud to call him dad and I feel lucky that he chose ME to make babies with him!!!! Not everyone is blessed like my children and that makes me sad. Randy honors his Priesthood and always tries his hardest to make the right choices. He's honest and loving and I don't know what else I could ask for!!!!

So, today as we celebrate Father's Day, I just have to say, YEEHAW to the great men in my life!!! I love you dad and Randy!!! Happy Father's Day!!!!

Comments that might make people mad....

So, there is a big story in Utah right now....... HERE is the link to a local TV station that has been covering it. Tonight there will be an execution of a man that has hurt a LOT of people and has been sitting, wasting my tax dollars for WAY too long. On Facebook today, Channel 2 asked opinions about his execution by firing squad. I as surprised with how many people felt sorry for him!!!!! I am NOT one of those people. He is a horrible person that his past has proven how much society doesn't need him around to hurt more innocent people. The Bible talks about "an eye for an eye" and the LDS religion teaches us to support the laws of the land and in my heart, I feel good about this bad mad finally finding justice for all the bad he has made in the world. I am just amazed at how everyone all of a sudden feels sorry for him and that anyone cares what he is eating for his last meals!!!!! No one cares what I ate for my last meal and I didn't kill anyone!!!! I know I might sound heartless, but there is no reason for him to be kept alive. He will never rehabilitate and for all the harm he has caused, why keep him around? I am a total supporter in the death penalty IF it can be proven POSITIVELY that the person committed the crimes, and in this case, it can. So, I'm not sad one bit tonight that this man will finally meet his maker and have to answer for all he's done!!!!!

Ahhhhh, I feel better, now!!!!

A bragging moment....

Ok, I don't want to brag or make anyone feel bad or anything...... who am I kidding? YES I DO!!!!! I have some serious bragging rights that I'm going to celebrate!!!!! As my family and friends know, I have a super power and it is passing kidney stones. I'm really good at it (practice makes you really good, right?)!!! HERE is a post about one of my passings and HERE is another one about how I feel about getting stoned (not in the way you think).

So, last night, Randy and I were chilling in the big room and I felt THE FEELING. The feeling that I know all too well. I knew I was in trouble. I dry heaved for a minute (usually it's a long time) and got the chills pretty bad for a minute (usually it's a long time), went to the bathroom a couple of times (usually it's a lot of times) and WHAMO........ there was a stone the same size as the one I passed a year ago, almost to the day!!!!!

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!

There are a couple of stones that are more memorable than others. My first one, when I thought I was going to die. It took me 11 days to pass that one, including a 2 day stay at the hospital, it refluxed from my bladder back into my kidney and when it came out, it was 6mm (HUGE) and shaped like a Mickey Mouse head. We named that one Spike!!!!

Another memorable passing for us was when I was 7 months pregnant with Cambelle. When that happens, you get admitted to Labor and Delivery without any question until you pass the stone. THAT was fun (not at all). Because I was pregnant, they can't do the regular scans, only ultra-sounds to say where the stone WAS NOT!!!! AWESOME!!!!

Stones are the only think that can make me throw up. They are the only things that make me actually say the naughty words I am thinking all the time. And stones have tested my endurance many times. There is medicine that I can take that will make me absorb calcium-oxalates like everyone else, but the side effects of that medicine are not worth the benefits for me. So, I will keep avoiding the things that make my kind form, but when it comes down to it, I will be dealing with this for a while. I'm just glad that this one went as fast as it did!!!

Maybe I'm actually getting good at something!?! Who else has bragging rights like this? hahaha!!! Time to celebrate!!!!

Out with the old, in with the NEW and SHINY!!!!

Randy has searched the world over and finally found true love..... with a truck!!!!! He has had his old truck since right before we had Tyler. It's a 2000. With the help of my best friend and her sweet husband that own a dealership in AZ, they found us the PERFECT truck we could ask for!!!! It met all the requirements and when it came to asking for the color of the new truck, what would you guess that it was going to be RED? Hahaha!!!! They look so much alike that some people don't even know we got a new truck!!!! We haven't sold the old one yet, and it's freaking people out because they will see us driving one and the other is in front of our house!!!! That's been fun!!!!

(Yes, that is a cop looking at the truck, no I was not driving and got a ticket, it's Randy's brother that is a UHP Trooper)

The new truck has 4 full doors that open the normal way. The room in the back seat is identical to our Tahoe!!! The kids can walk around back there!!! It has a bigger engine and heavier suspension. It's Randy's perfect match for a truck right now!!!!! He's in Heaven!!!! Although, the new truck is a bit higher than the old truck. I don't know if I need running boards or a diet!!!!

So, here's to Anna and Nephi and their persistence with us!!!! We knew our perfect truck was out there and we finally found it. THANK YOU for all your hard work!!!!! We absolutely love our new truck. Love it, love it, love it!!!!! If you are looking for a truck and need someone to go to auction for you, let me know and I will send along Nephi's number. He's made a lot of my friends and family REALLY happy customers!!!

Get the song? Fire Burning!!!!!! HAHAHA!!!! Red trucks, fire trucks!!!! hahaha!!!!! Ok, fine, I am entertained easily!!!

Another year has gone by

It's June 8th again. It's an anniversary that we don't like to remember. Last year, I copied MY POST straight out of Tyler's medical journal that I have kept. If you want to read what happened 8 years ago today, grab a kleenex and read!!!! It was the beginning of the ordeal that lead to Tyler's 2nd life saving surgery. I will never forget the lessons that I learned from that experience that started on June 8th, 2002.

Some of those lessons are:

*When you are praying with pure intent of your heart, the Holy Ghost will guide you. This was the only time in our lives that Randy and I heard an audible voice that was the Holy Ghost telling us what to do.

*Sometimes you don't know why you are going through hard times. Don't ever question WHY, just ask, "what am I supposed to learn from this". You may never know WHY.

*No matter how many people think you are a bitch, you push as hard as you have to and get your child the care YOU KNOW they need. You will never regret it.

*Trials of this magnitude will bring a family together better than anything else.

*Heavenly Father knows what you are made of, even when you don't!!!

Those are just SOME of the many lessons we learned. Sometimes talking about this situation we were in, is like telling a story about someone else. I feel so blessed that Heavenly Father trusted ME to do this. We all needed to learn lessons that we could only learn one way and he trusted ME to be a tool in helping to teach those lessons? Amazing.

To learn more about CDH, please go to their website. http://www.cdhsupport.org/ There are parents that are expecting CHERUBS every single day and there are CHERUBS that earn their wings and return to Heaven every single day. We still don't know WHAT causes CDH. There is a lot of mystery around this horrible birth defect. Hopefully one day, we will raise enough awareness and earn enough money to really get to the bottom of how we can eliminate it all together, until then, I want you all to go to the CHERUBS website and if you feel that you can donate any money at all, I promise it will go a long way and if you're not in a position to donate money, send the link to someone, or a lot of someones!!!!

I'm so glad our son has defied so many terrible odds that have been against him. What a fighter he is. A very special spirit.

I love you, my little man!!!

Long nights

Randy went to our ward's Father and Son's camp out a few weekends ago, this weekend is Youth Conference and in 2 weekends is the scout High Adventure camp. I miss my snuggle partner so much when he's gone. It's not that I'm scared or can't handle the kids by myself, it's just that here it is after 1am and I don't see any reason to go to bed. I want my husband to sleep with, not just his pillow :( A lot of women don't mind if their husband is gone, some couples don't touch, I'm not one of those women!!!! When we got married, sleeping in a bed with Randy was no biggie for me. I had shared a bed with lots of girls before, that's what girls do. I was on a drill team, so lots of out of town trip got me REALLY used to sleeping with someone in my bed. In fact, my good friend, Kammee was one of the only ones that would sleep with me because everyone else hated me spooning them!!!! I'm an EXTREME snuggler. My Aunt Vicky and Gina can testify to that!!! So when we got married, imagine how excited I was to have a snuggle partner every night!!! Randy, on the other hand, didn't sleep for the first month of our marriage because all of a sudden there was a girl sleeping with him and I was always touching him!!!! I was fine with it, but him? Not so much!!!! I have to say, he got used to it pretty quickly ;) So, maybe I'll go to bed soon and maybe morning will get here soon and I can get one of the kids to snuggle with me!!!!

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!!!!
