The big news!!!!

So, I have resisted sharing some good news and I will tell why later.
WE ARE PREGNANT!!!!!
I am 13 weeks along and I've been really sick, so it feels like a LOT longer!!!! We are really excited!!! We found out we were pregnant 4 days before we had to give Nathan back to his parents and this pregnancy was COMPLETELY PREVENTED!!!!! So, no doubt in our minds that this was Heavenly Father's was of helping us through that transition.

I have been reluctant to share this news and there are good reasons. My blog is public (and I am going to keep it that way). I have shared it with my Facebook friends already because I have my FB locked up like Fort Knox and know that the people I don't want in, can't get in.

You see, when we got Nathan, we had the state and some family members accuse us of only wanting him to "replace" the miscarriage we had last fall. NOTHING will replace our own child. That was so offensive. Then those same family members took it a step further and to my face, compared me to the lady in the story of King Solomon in the Bible:

*There were 2 women that claimed they were a baby's mom. They took him to the King and he ordered that the baby be cut in half and each woman get half of the baby. Well, the real mom stepped up and told them to give the baby to the fake mom and that's how they knew who the real mom was.*

Precious, huh? Yes, my very own family was accusing me of being like THOSE women. I can't even tell me how hurtful that was for Randy and I. It's something I may never forgive, but I'm working on it. The level of betrayal was just shocking.

Anyhow, you can probably imagine why I haven't wanted to go public with this new and exiting news of ours. I know that those family members will probably find out that we are pregnant now and I anticipate that they will say that we only got pregnant to "replace" Nathan, so I have been gearing up for that. BRING IT!!!!!

I feel that I am rambling, but I had to explain some things before I could go on with future posts about the pregnancy. I pray that everyone can start to "play nice", but the reality is, that probably wont happen!!!!

So, here's to a Wednesday of not being sick (positive thinking, right?)!!!!

Thanks for your understanding and support!!!!

Congratulations on your new baby! And can I also add Wow! Instead of being grateful that Nathan had a safe, healthy environment, they had to stoop to the level of hateful?! All babies are blessings, not replacements...
Keep doing the right thing, that's the best revenge! LOL

You just have to know you were there for Nathan when he needed you. This is exciting! Better you than me. LOL I hope the sickness leaves you soon!

LAME!!!! If they bring it up next time -- ask them if they weren't the ones who gave away precious little girls in exchange for a little boy. All you ever did was love and protect that little boy from the moment you knew he was coming. That's more than they can say for what they did/didn't do for those little girls. UGH -- people so stupid! I am THRILLED for you -- although I know the sick part sucks --- I can't wait to hear if you are having a little guy or girl this go around...hmmm Tyler does need a brother ...yet you do make cute little girls. Either way it is a loved child.

Family can be VERY frustrating for sure! I have a dear friend that had a very difficult time getting pregnant. She took all the hormones had a few surgeries and still nothing. While we were at girl's camp she thought maybe she was. So I went down the mtn. to get a test and when I got back she knew she wasn't. She was DEVASTATED. So much that she herself went down the mtn. that night and stayed with her hubby who was staying in Cedar. The next morning she was BEAMING!!! I asked her if she was pregnant. She said no, but an adoption attorney had contacted them the previous night and asked if they wanted a little boy that was due in 2 weeks! She ended up adopting the birthd mother's older child later on and another baby from the same mom. 3 kids total! The one thing that came as such a relief was that she felt such an urgency for the baby and after doing the math figured out that he would have been concieved around the time of her first surgery. We can't question the way the Lord works. We just have to have faith to know that he knows us best. As you know I miscarried twice before my little girl. When I look back at the due dates for both miscarriages they were two of the HARDEST weeks I've had with major life changes both times. I'm grateful the Lord knew what I could and couldn't handle even if I didn't. I KNOW you had that baby boy in your life for a reason. They should be grateful for the love and care you gave to him while they obviously were not fit to give it. If THEY were the "real" parents, they would want all the best for their child and if they could not give it, then they should be more than happy that they had someone that their baby could be trusted with.
*Stepping off my soapbox.*
Love you Hope! Congrats again!

Some people will just never get it. Brittanys mom is the same way. She loathes me... and all I have ever done is love her baby girl, and try to be the best mommy I can to a child that would otherwise have no mother. It boggles the mind, truely. I am so so freaking excited! I smell joyschool cooking up about 3-4 years from now :) love you forever Hopie...
