THRILLER!!! Also known as the night I wont forget!!!

So, tonight was the big night... Thriller at Tuacahn. I have been 3 times before and LOVE it with the exception of the zombies. They freak me out so bad and I don't know why.

I think it's cuz they are real people and can touch me. Anyhow, I was going to be tough and not cry this year. That didn't work out so well. "Mister Limber" found us before the show in our seats and breathed on me for like 45 minutes. (Yes, Chanieca is holding his leg...it's actually attached to his body) During intermission, I really needed to use the bathroom, no problem, Yvette will go with me.... PROBLEM... I lost her when we got done in the bathroom and I surely was NOT going back to our seats without someone to hide behind. So, I called Randy and he came up to protect me.
As you know, I don't like being called a baby, so after the show, I agreed to a photo with a zombie as long as I was on the end. Well, it didn't quite work out that way. In the group photo with "Mister Limber" is Zach, Emily, me (yelling "HURRY"), Jeff, Chanieca, Megan, Addison, Yvette and Mike. Randy was taking the picture. That's when Emily had a GREAT idea, "I'll take a picture of you and Randy together with the zombie". Not wanting to be a big baby, I agreed. BIG MISTAKE!!!
They REALLY freak me out.
I am actually crying in these photos and Randy is so concerned for the well being of my mental health.

Don't these pictures make you want to go to the show?

Anyhow, we had a great time, despite my temporary black outs from fear. We have the funnest friends in the world!!!

Thanks to Jim and Peggy for tending the kids VERY LATE. We appreciate it SO MUCH!!! Thanks to Chanieca for getting us cheap tickets and thanks to the zombies for making me pee my pants!!! If you click on these photos, it enlarges them and you can get a really good look at a 31 year old, thinking she is going to die!!!

Last night's Halloween party!!!

Last night, the neighbors invited us over for a family home evening Halloween party. We all got our costumes on, got our pumpkin ready, I made a cake that looks like a spider and has green jello in the middle (like guts) and headed over to the party... when we got there, WE WERE THE ONLY ONES IN COSTUME!!! Stop laughing... I guess I just assumed we were supposed to dress up. Check out the costumes, last year I bought these not knowing the events that would transpire in the next year (Randy getting put in the Bishopric). We all know Randy is anything but evil and I'm only angelic occasionally. I guess that's the fun part of Halloween, to dress up as something you're not!!! Randy carved our pumpkin to say "Clyde" on it!!! We had a great time!!!

I can do it!!!

This is me... Randy's truck and the wood trailer. The Clyde's haul wood off the mountain all summer and sell it in the winter to pay for our annual Disneyland trip. Well, last year, someone made the comment about "Hope not knowing how to pull the trailers".... that's all it took. I am very stubborn and I don't like to be told that I can't do something. I understand rules, I get that, it's the "she's a girl and can't do it" crap that I hate. I don't like being called a chicken. I'm pretty good at dares, cuz I'll almost do anything on a dare or challenge.... examples? How about eating the nasty pepper cuz Heather told me to... drinking hot sauce that Mike brought over that had a warning label on it... my boyfriend when I was 15 told me I couldn't drive his truck because I didn't know how to drive a stick, I LEARNED.... how about skinny dipping (no one does that without being dared).... Anna and I used to have contests to see who could stand on the hot St. George asphalt when we were little.... do I need to go on? So last year when that comment was made I thought, "not only will I learn how to pull the trailers, I will figure out the trailer brakes, learn how to back the trailers up and I'm gonna do it just to show them that I can!!!", and I did!!! So on Saturday when we were on our way home from delivering wood to Vegas, Randy was starting to fall asleep (he tends to sleep and drive at the same time), so he pulled over and I drove from Logandale, home. Yes, though the gorge with a 7' X 12' trailer and I DID IT!!! When I got to my mom and dad's I almost did a happy dance!!! I knew I could, I just love that I proved that I could without having a stroke!!! Now, don't underestimate how whimpy I am, because I am not very tough most of the time. I definitely need Randy, there's a lot that I can't do, thank goodness I have him. Just don't tell me I "can't"!!!

Miracles...

There are a lot of girls in my life right now that are pregnant and more that would like to be. Isn't it a miracle that our Heavenly Father makes our bodies so that we can carry babies and isn't it a miracle that He sends knowledge to people to help us when things don't go perfect. Two girls that I love very much that are pregnant are having a hard time right now. My "sister from another mister", Holly and my niece, Misty. Holly is just over 25 weeks and is starting contractions and Misty just got admitted to the hospital at 24 weeks with twin boys for contracting and a softening cervix. I am so sad that they are going through this. No one wants to have problems. We never did, so when they were thrown in our faces, we did our best to survive. I hope they will be ok and keep their spirits up. Doesn't that fall under "Newton's law" or something, those girls having ripe cervixes and the ones that are ready, not having much luck (Angie)? Anyhow, that's what happens when you get knocked up, it's not always fun I guess. Hang in there girls. I love you!!!

Facebook....

Ok, I did it... I made a facebook profile. I have had a myspace for a while, but some of my nieces were going the facebook way so I decided to check it out. There are WAY more people that I went to school with on facebook. That's great... and not so great at the same time. It's weird!!! There are wonderful people that I was friends with that I haven't seen in YEARS and then there are boys I used to like that are just as "old" as I am now!!! The weirdest thing about "my past" is when people assumed that I married Scott. When I see anyone that I was friends with in high school, one of the first questions is always, "how's Scott?". Just cuz we dated for close to 4 years, doesn't mean we got married.... ok, I guess if I were them, I would assume that I married him also, but it's still weird!!! I guess it's something we all face, maybe not the 'you didn't marry ...' situation, but people think they know you because they went to school with you, we all know we're not defined by what we were in school. If that were the case, based on my middle school years, I'd be in prison!!! I was in the Principal's office more than not!!! Anyhow, it's just a funny thing how life takes you on different paths and you end up being the person YOU want to be and not what everyone thinks you SHOULD be!!! I like my life!!!

I get to take more pictures!!!

These are some pictures I took at the Temple a few weeks ago. I had so much fun. Taking the pictures was fun, but when the missionaries came out it was even funner cuz I pretended to be a non-member and asked if I could "go in" the Temple. I had fun messing with the 3 sets of missionaries that came out to greet me!!! Anyhow, it was cool to stare at the Temple through the lens of a camera. I found some cool angles and fun details that I have never noticed. Blanche called me today to go take some pictures of buildings for her work and I get to take family pictures for our friends this weekend. I love taking photos. It is something I never thought I would enjoy and now I'm hooked!!! Enjoy the pictures!!!

3 hunters 1 dead deer

The killing is officially over for Steven this year!!! He shot a 4 point this morning (7:36am) in Enterprise as Randy and Jim stared at it, deciding if they wanted to shoot it. I'm surprised Randy didn't beat him, he usually has a pretty happy trigger finger. I guess Randy's slowing down in his old age. hehehe Anyhow, I'm glad Steven got a deer and hopefully he will let me have a little jerky. 1 down 2 to go. I get to go check Randy for ticks now!!!

Do you live with someone that has buck fever?

I DO!!! Randy, his dad and Steven are hunting this morning (along with most of the men in Utah that have red blood in their veins). When we got married, he went hunting, without me, 1 week later. I have never had a problem with him doing his "guy thing", I call it that cuz there is no reason for me to go with him. I think the requirements to go hunting are:
#1 you have to pee standing up(I can, it just doesn't work out that well)
#2 you should be able to spit good(I suck)
#3 you feel a constant need to scratch your crotch(NOPE!!!)
#4 you should be able to be quiet(you all know THAT won't happen)

That's what hunting means to me. I know there are girls that can kick it with the boys (Anna and Angie) and I think you totally rock, I don't rock. I would have a lot of fun just making fun of the whole situation, though. Randy feels that I'm wasting a good resource by not hunting, being born an Albrecht, I have these GREAT eyes for spotting deer. I should go just to tell them where the deer are. I'm a really good shot, too. I just don't want to. I have issues with eating the meat, it's icky, so to me it's just a fun thing for the boys to do, I can find other things for me and the kids to do. Am I a poor sport or what? The whole "bonding" thing? I know... my mom tells me that I should do stuff like that with Randy so we can bond, that's when I inform her of the fun way we "bond", shuts her up ever time!!! Anyhow, if you are a hunter widow this week, HAVE FUN cuz surely the men are!!! Hopefully they all have a good time and don't bring home any ticks!!!

I HATE GOING TO CAR MECHANIC PLACES!!!

There!!! I said it!!! I ran over a huge bolt in the road yesterday (yes, on purpose, duh...) and the Tahoe needed a front end alignment. Randy called Brett (our friend) and he said to bring it in at 9:30 this morning and leave it for a little while. "There goes pajama day" was my first thought, with it being fall break, I thought it would be fun for the kids to just have a down day... WRONG!!! Took the car in and told them to tell Brett that it was there. Moved the kids over to Blanche's car, took her to work and went home. The auto tech called at 1pm and said they were done with the alignment and my car was next on to fix the tire, "should I head that way?" they said, "yea, it wont take too long". Load the kids up, go get Wyatt from Angie (she had a dr. appt.), pick up Blanche and go to the auto tech. I go in and he tells me that the tire isn't done yet and the tire guy went to lunch so it'll be another hour.....uuuhhhggggg!!!!! As I walk out, I see that Blanche, being the helpful sister, has got the kids out of their car seats, car seats out of car and kids waiting!!! I felt so bad telling her that we would have to load them back up. Got the kids back in, took Blanche back to work, Wyatt back to Angie crying cuz he wanted to go to "Cambo's" house and wait....wait.....wait. Blanche had some errands to run so we went with her then they called to tell me the tire was done. Went to get car, got kids in, turned car on and DING DING- check tire pressures. Holy cow!!! (you know that's not really what I thought) I go in, "you need to reset the tire pressures".... wait....wait....wait. They had me pull in front of the bay to do it, I informed them that I wasn't getting the kids out of the car, they would have to do it with them in. They did. Finally at 4pm I was leaving the auto tech!!! What a mess. I HATE car repair places. They give me tourettes. I mean, I actually start swearing uncontrollably when I am there. Dumb, dumb, dumb, next time Randy says, "just run it over to Brett", I'm gonna smack him!!! So how was your day? :)

Thriller!!!

So, October means Odyssey Dance Theatre at Tuachann!!! I got to see the show for the first time a couple years ago and I can't get enough of it now!!! These dancers are AMAZING!!! They do things that I didn't know was even humanly possible. The music is great, the mood is spooky, the dancing is like nothing I have ever seen and the jokes are hilarious. It's an experience I can't describe. If you like horror films, dance or theatre AT ALL, don't miss this show. Randy went last year with me and because he's a boy, I didn't really expect him to want to go again this year, sometimes once is enough, but not with this show, he's as excited as I am. Maybe it's the freaky zombies that scare me so bad that I cry that he's excited about. They have the drama students dolled up as zombies before and after the show and during intermission that come around and try to scare people. THEY SCARE ME!!! That's the only reason I wont go to haunted houses, the people are REAL!!! I can watch the best of scary movies and not even have a nightmare, but real freaks scare me. So, the reason I am talking about this now? We just got our tickets. They're selling out fast, so if you want to go, get out there now. You wont regret it!!! Well, you might if you are a scare-dee cat!!!

A crucial warning to all parents...

This is a situation that happened to us yesterday and I want to warn you so it wont happen to you. Since our children have been in school, they have learned to read. Well, Randy and I forget that from time to time, yesterday was just another lesson. The kids and I went to Hurricane and left Randy to do his church stuff and then later he would join us. When he got to his parents, he told me that he had left a note for me at the house. When we got home, I saw on our bathroom mirror, "comonawanalaya". If you say it fast enough, you'll know what his intentions were..... well, I didn't give it a second thought until in the morning when Maddison was brushing her hair and she asked me, "mom what does 'comonawanalaya' mean?". I didn't know what to say, I asked her if it sounded like anything and she said, "no", so I told her that her dad was just playing with mommy by writing a bunch of letters on the mirror that didn't make sense. Now, that all might not be too funny but just the night before, I wrote on the mirror, "wanna pick up where we left off last night?" and when there was a call for an explanation from Maddison I lied and told her that Randy and I wanted to eat ice cream the night before and didn't so I had got some ice cream for us to eat!!!! Can I please learn this lesson already? MY KIDS CAN READ!!! The funniest thing was when Tyler was getting his hair done this morning, he was trying to sound out, "comonawanalaya". I was busting a gut. I guess we need to find a new way to write dirty notes to each other!!!

The big 1-2

So, today is actually our real anniversary. We've kind of celebrated it all weekend, but today is the big day. Our 12th anniversary on the 12th!!! I put these pictures on to show what overeating will do to you.... just kidding!!!! In 1996, the name of the game was big curls, huge veil, fancy dress and a cute boy in a kilt. Yes, he's wearing his kilt. He only breaks that out on VERY special days. In fact, since the day we got married, one of the only other time he has worn it was the day he blessed Tyler. We have both changed so much since then. The kids were looking at the photo book at the Clyde's today and I asked 2 year old Mazie who was in the picture and I wasn't surprised when she recognized "Uncle Randy", but when she could tell it was me in the picture, she all of a sudden became my favorite 2 year old niece. I don't even recognize me!!! Anyhow, I thought these pictures were fun and if anyone wants to laugh hysterically, it's ok.... we'll get out your wedding photos!!!

Party like a rockstar

Tonight we get to celebrate our anniversary. Our anniversary is actually on Sunday, but Randy arranged for our kids to sleep over at his parent's house and it's his dad's birthday.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, have some grandkids!!! He probably doesn't care. Randy has an "agenda" planned, should I be scared? I know we're going to dinner, but I don't know much else!!! It'll be fun no matter what. This is our 12th anniversary. Weird, I don't feel like we've been married that long. There is no question that we were meant to be together. He fits into my family SO well. 12 years ago my sisters all came for our wedding, all my aunts and uncles were here. There were 88 people in the "East room" in the Temple for the sealing. That's 2 to a chair, laps and standing double deep in the back if you're counting!!! We are so loved. There is so much that has changed since then, he drove a single cab white Chevy truck, now he drives a red extended cab Chevy truck. I drove a white Camero, now I drive a white Tahoe (dang mommy cars, can't wait to get my hands on another Camero). He did and still does work for Interstate Rock, I worked front desk at a motel and now I work at home as a slave. We thought we knew about love, boy we had a lot more to experience, nothing will teach you the strength of a relationship like the possibility of losing a child. If we can make it through that, we can make it through anything!!! The last 12 years has taught me a lot about how much Randy loves me. I'm glad he does because I don't think anyone else would take me!!! He's the best and I'm lucky to have him!!! Happy anniversary Randy!!!

Quirky?

I got tagged by Heidi to list 6 quirks that I have. It got me thinking, and Blanche cuz I couldn't think of anything odd about what I do.... after all, I am completely normal in every way!!! But in the spirit of blogging here goes....

1. I LOVE roller coasters, but I am deathly afraid of being shot into space and never coming back... I'm not kidding. So, I wont go on the Slingshot at the Startosphere or the Superman ride at Magic Mountain.

2. I hum in my sleep. Don't believe me? I've slept with lots of people, ask them!!! Get your mind out of the gutter, I have 5 sisters and I was on a drill team for 3 years....sicko!!!

3. I wont drink milk, not because I don't like it, but because I can't help thinking of it coming out of a cow's utter. Still not kidding.

4. Real chicken eggs.... NO FREAKIN WAY!!! Eggs come from the grocery store, not Gina's back yard. That's almost as bad as milk!!!

5. I love making dinner. Oh wait, I left 2 words out.... I love making reservations for dinner!!! I don't cook. I don't like eating whatever I have cooked, but the time it's done, I am sick of it already!!!

6. When we go to bed, our pillows have to overlap in the middle of the bed. I don't like sleeping on pillow crack and I always sleep in the middle of the bed, so the easy solution... overlap the pillows!!! Why do I sleep in the middle? Cuz I'm a bed hog, why else? Randy only needs a sliver of the mattress.

That wasn't too hard. But I am still sticking to the idea that I am normal in every way!!! I will tag...

1. Angie
2. G
3. Charmaine
4. Brenda
5. Twila
6. Laura

And anyone else that wants to do it, it was kinda fun!!! And I want to know what to tease you about!!! By the way, just watching this video on youtube of the Superman ride totally made my heart race. I have been so close to going on it and chickened out at the last second. When I say I'm gonna do something, especially on a dare, I never back out. This is the exception. I don't think I'll EVER be able to go on this ride!!!!

Dance dance revolution!!!

We had some friends over on Friday night to play. It was so fun. We started out the night by ordering 8 pizzas, we watched the BYU game (I assumed it was still basketball, so imagine how surprised I was when they turned on a football game, I guess that tells you how into sports I am), then we played Singstar for a while and ended with dance dance revolution. I COMPLETELY SUCK!!! It was fun watching everyone. Above is Tyler and Ashley, tuckered out from all the fun...

Here's Randy and Chanieca, Randy's trying to figure it out....

Oh, yea.... now he gets it!!!

Anna and her sister, Abby. Check out Anna's calfs (is that plural for calf?)!!! Woo, woo!!!

Maddison and Whitney could totally kick my trash!!!

Jeff and Chanieca. I would never guess that Jeff is the game playing kind, but he totally rocked at both games.

Paul and Heather were there also, I don't know why neither one of them wanted to dance.... weird!!! Maybe next time. I have realized lately how a good balance in life makes all the difference. Family, friends, work, religion, if there isn't a good balance then things just go crazy. I like the balance I have right now, I feel happier than I ever have been. It is nice to feel loved and be able to let your hair down with a group of friends. I think we should do this more often!!! Any takers?

Tyler's first lost tooth!!! Finally!!!

Tyler will be 7 in January and he finally lost his first tooth, it was a top one.... weird, but whatever. His tooth was no where near ready to come out, but because he is all B-O-Y, it'll come out when HE is ready. He was afraid of the kids in his class making fun of him, little does he know that there is only one other kid in his class that hasn't lost a tooth. I'm glad to have it out!!! He got it all but out and we had to coax him to let Randy do the rest of it. We even had to convince him that the tooth fairy gives a 50 cent bonus on Thursdays (that means $1.50 if you were wondering). Oh, the joys of parenting!!!

What?

So, I had something SHOCKING happen today... I didn't pay my phone bill last month and THEY TURNED MY PHONE OFF!!! Holy cow!!! What am I going to do? Doesn't the phone company know that the phone is like my right arm? Well, I'm left handed, so my right hand isn't used AS much, but it's still important. Why didn't anyone tell me that would happen? I've been a little busy lately and have apparently forgot to pay some bills. It's back on, fhew!!! As soon as it came back on I hurried and paid my cell phone bill and satellite also. No more slacking for us!!! So, if you tried to call me this afternoon and couldn't get through, you can now!!! I'm laughing about the whole thing, it just tells you where my brain has NOT been!!!
