True love is spending one day getting married and the rest of your life feeling grateful you did!
Tomorrow starts Peach Days is Hurricane!!! We love this every year. Randy was born and raised in Hurricane and so was his mom. This celebration is so fun. It is a small town gathering in the center of town. If you live there, you go!!! We get to see a lot of people that we haven't seen for a while. Randy's mom has a booth that she sells craft and food stuff that she has done. She does all the hard work then lets me play "store" for the weekend. Peggy is also over the Peach Cook Off, so I get to help with that too. I have never lived there, but this weekend it makes me feel like I belong over there. I love it. I usually don't love parades, I only take my kids to build memories, but the Peach Days parade is the biggest in Washington County. The kids leave with a grocery sack full of candy each when it's all over. It's a pretty cool parade. It's a fun time and I'm so excited that it's finally here!!! Then on Monday is our annual Clyde reunion, this year is our (Jim's family) turn. We'll be playing Highland games, having a drink at the corner pub and lots of other Scottish themed activities. It's a great way to spend Labor Day weekend every year!!! HERE WE COME!!!

Ohhhhhh yyyeeeaaaaaa, it's that time of year again. Time to go out and see what REALLY lives in the same county as you do!!! This picture is of my mom and dad at the Clark Co. fair a couple years ago. There's a really funny story about it, but it's a family thing and I'm not explaining it on my blog. If you know about it, you're already laughing at the picture. I have always loved going to the fair. When I was growing up, Blanche and Brenda lived in Hurricane and that is where the fair was held, so I would go stay at Blanche's house and have fun all week. It's funny to look back on it now because Randy grew up in Hurricane and there WERE events year after year that we were both at and didn't know we would end up marrying each other!!! It's a good thing we didn't know each other then, we wouldn't have ever got together. That's happened a lot though our lives. It's weird. Back to the fair. I don't know what I like the best. The rides that are set up so scary that the thrill I get from them is wondering if they're gonna break when I'm pulling 3 G's or is my favorite the....
DEMOLITION DERBY? Nothing says "redneck" like watching cars crash into each other and actually enjoying it!!! We are such morons. Oh well, we like it and so do a lot of other people. Some times when I'm watching the derby, I feel like I just saw it on Bluff Street. Every year when we go to the derby we take the kids to Jim and Peggy's to play but this year is a little different. It's Cambelle's 3rd birthday on Saturday. When I asked my mother-in-law if it would be rude to ditch our daughter on her birthday for the derby, you should have seen the look on my sis-in-law's face.!!! It was pretty funny. I don't think Cambelle will hold it against us that we're going without her. We're having a swim party on Monday for her b-day and she's 3... what's funner than grandma's house? I think she'll be fine!!! Anyhow, watch out carnie workers, here we come!!!
