Yea, I'm slow...

I'm kinda stubborn... kinda. When the Twilight series came along, lots of my friends and family were reading them. I wouldn't read it for more than one reason, but one was that I hate when people say that I "have" to. I didn't see the movie Titanic for 2 years just because I was sick of people saying that I "have" to see the movie, the other reason for not reading the books was, I'm not a reader, I hate reading. In fact, when I was little, the only reason I would go to the Library was to check books out so I could ride my bike through the drive through to return them. ANYHOW, with all the hullabaloo about the Twilight movie, I was getting excited to see it. I've seen it twice now and absolutely love it, so I decided to MAYBE read the books. Big on the maybe. Over the holidays, I decided to give into peer pressure and break down and actually real the books, well, at least the first one. I started it last night and read 20 pages... you have to understand what that means, I DO NOT read books. It is so boring for me. So, this is HUGE!!!! I was getting too tired to read more last night but I can't wait to get into it today!!! Oh, my mom would be so proud!!! I will let you know what happens, oh wait... I'm the only person on Earth that hasn't read the series yet!!! Whatever!!!

I haven't read them yet either. But I want to. Lindsey really wants me take her to see the movie. The library has a waiting list to check them out and i'm too cheap to buy them. But I might just buy them & donate them to the library after I read them.

I'm glad you gave into peer pressure. I have to say that I loved the first one, hated the second one but had to read it to understand the third one. The third one was alright. I didn't know there was a fourth one until after I finished the third one. I thought she could have ended it at three. I wish she would have. I hated, really hated the fourth one. Other people really love them, so to each their own. I haven't seen the movie yet. I'll let you know what I think. Happy Reading!

Don't worry....you're not the ONLY person who hasn't read them!! I haven't yet either. Haven't even seen the movie. Don't even know what the heck they're about. All I know is that there's a character named Edward that women are swooning over. Maybe someday I'll get to reading them to find out what the big deal is!!

I haven't read them either. Melissa keeps telling me I have to read them, but I'm not all that interested. BTW I haven't seen Titanic yet. Maybe someday. Let me know if you like the books and maybe someday I'll break down and read them too.

I didn't even know that they existed until one evening in August we were at Mimi's Cafe getting dinner and we saw all these crazy people dressed like vampires -- we asked them what was going on - they looked at us like we were idiots and proceeded to tell us that Barnes and Noble next door was having a 4th book party- anyhow we went over and bought the first book -- I love to read - so I had it read by noon the next day -- I proceeded to read the rest of them that week -- I should mention I was supposed to be on full bed rest when we went out -- By being out I started having contractions again so I had to keep down - thus allowing the time to read all 4 books!

Happy Reading!
