Update on my dad

It's been a long couple of days. Yesterday my dad's cardiologist determined that he needed a pace maker. His heart rate still wasn't going over 50 bpm, that's like almost dead. Everything went well. The only complaint he had as of last night was that his shoulder hurt. It's about a 2 inch incision on his left chest by his shoulder. Not bad. Randy's mom and dad took our kids so we didn't have to even think about them, THANK YOU!!! My dad is blessing my nephew's daughter tomorrow, he wont be able to hold her but that's no biggie. I have learned some lessons from this. 1- sometimes the wiring goes out in your heart even though your heart is great. 2- pace makers have come a long way. 3- some of my sisters are freaks 4-when I say freaks, I'm not-a-kiddin 5- if you get the privilege of having Kevin on the 2nd floor of the hospital as your nurse, count yourself lucky 6- no one believes my when I step into the room and announce, "Hi my name is Dr. Clyde and I will be your surgeon today" 7- when my brain is full of worry for my dad, not a lot else matters 8- true friends are on my "short list" when there is a crisis. 9- my best friends care about my parents too 10- and the best... things DID work out!!!

Thanks for the calls, I am blessed to have awesome people surrounding me. Today he'll get released. I will be gutting out their truck and all that other stuff he can't do. Off I go...

Oh man I hate sore throats! Luckily we won't be at church tomorrow so you don't have to worry. We are going to Cedar because my sister is blessing their baby. So your off the hook until next week!!!! If you can't thats okay too, but I have loved it. Porter can go to nursery next month so if that goes well Cam should be able to take her for me, we will see. Thanks for offering. Hope you get feeling better.

Hey Hopie!
I'm sorry to hear that you guys have been through so much in the past couple of days! The last I knew, your Dad had been to the hospital, but that everything was alright! Glad he's okay now and that you have survived the worry! No, I guess I wouldn't believe you if you announced that you would be my surgeon, either! Hee hee! Give my love to your family, K?
Love you!
